Review path and sources

Editorial in-game review

Nobody from the editorial team has flown it in game yet. The information comes from the sources listed below.

What you will learn

  • Know the salvage entries in our game data.
  • Keep game data, trade data and prices apart.

Prerequisites

No special prerequisites listed.

What this is about

Which materials does salvage produce? Our game data does not yet give a clean answer. This guide shows what is there – and what is missing.

Salvage entries in the game data

Salvage entries in the game data q1From the game data · 4.10.0-hotfix (55227)

Entries from the “harvestable” area with “salvage” or “scrap” in the identifier – names as in the data.

Salvage groups in the game data q1From the game data · 4.10.0-hotfix (55227)
  • Cluster Poor Common
  • Cluster Poor Uncommon
  • Cluster Poor Rare
  • Cluster Normal Common
  • Cluster Normal Uncommon
  • Cluster Normal Rare
  • Cluster Elite Common
  • Cluster Elite Uncommon
  • Cluster Elite Rare

These entries are in the “harvestable” area of the game data.q1 The groups carry “poor/normal/elite” and “common/uncommon/rare” in their names.q1

Whether these are wreck templates, quality levels or something else we are still checking.

RMC and CM

Material names such as “RMC” or “Construction Materials” do not appear in our Chronist extract.q1 So they are not listed here as game data.

Which materials the game actually outputs when salvaging and what they are called we record after a test.

Game data, trade data, prices

  • Game data – from the Data.p4k, with build number.
  • Trade data – where what is bought; only with source and retrieval time.
  • Time-dependent prices – never without date and patch.

Our game data contains no prices; so the hub shows none.

Later: cargo calculator

The entries are stored so that a later toolbox cargo calculator can use them. The calculator does not exist yet.

Next: Salvage – transport & sale

Checklist

  • You read prices at the terminal or from a dated trade source.

Links are stored in the hub entry – the index computes the reverse direction. No address is hard-coded here.
