Sections overlap – DOGFIGHT, for example, is a selection from TARGETING, WEAPONS, MISSILES, COUNTERMEASURES, SHIELDS, SCANNING and FLIGHT.

BalduursGATE extensions

The BalduursGATE extensions are part of the plugin. The Star Citizen keys work for every player without an account. The live keys need a personal access to the Old Mens Club (OMC Edition) – without it they show “KEIN ZUGANG” (no access) and never guess.

Supported devices

There is no profile for Stream Deck Mini, Neo, Studio, Pedal, Stream Deck + XL or the mobile app – these devices are not supported in this version.

Installation

For everyone who has never imported a Stream Deck profile.

1. Choose your versionFind your device in the “Supported devices” table. You always need the plugin and the profile for your device – both are in the complete pack.
2. Download the ZIPDownload the complete pack under “Downloads” below (or the plugin and your profile separately). Compare the checksum if you want to be sure.
3. UnzipExtract the ZIP (Windows: right-click → Extract all). It contains the folders 1-Plugin, 2-IconPack and 3-Profile plus the guide.
4. Check the softwareWindows 10 or 11 and the Stream Deck software 6.5 or newer (checked with 7.5). If yours is older, update the Stream Deck software first.
5. Open Stream DeckStart the Stream Deck software; the device must be connected and visible in the software.
6. Install the plugin, then import the profileFirst double-click BalduursGATE.streamDeckPlugin – Stream Deck asks “Install?” → yes. Then double-click your device's profile file from 3-Profile – Stream Deck asks to import it. The profile requires the plugin, hence this order.
7. Assign the profile to your deviceIn the import dialog choose your device and install. Then activate the “BalduursGATE …” profile in your device's profile selection at the top.
8. Check pluginsNo other plugins are needed – the profiles only require the BalduursGATE plugin. The icon pack is optional (double-click). For Glass, Eye, AI, push-to-talk, radio playback and client status also install the BalduursGATE client 0.4.28 or newer; for the live keys enter a personal access under “Access”.
9. Read your bindings and start Star CitizenPress the “BG Einrichtung” (setup) key or, in its settings, “Installationen suchen” (find installations) → pick your newest bindings → “Einlesen” (read). Without reading, the game's default bindings apply. Then start Star Citizen.
10. Test itStar Citizen must be the foreground window. Press a bound key (the white chip shows your key, e.g. landing gear) and check in the game. Keys with a dashed red frame (“FREI”, unbound) press nothing. If nothing happens at all, see “Known limitations” (administrator).

Star Citizen key bindings

The Stream Deck profile and Star Citizen must use the same bindings. That is why the pack does not ship fixed key bindings: the plugin reads your own – the active actionmaps.xml or an exported layout (layout_*_exported.xml, in the game under Options → Keybindings → Control profiles → Export).

The included profiles only point to plugin actions. Which key is pressed is decided by the plugin at press time from the bindings you read in. If you have not read anything, the game's default bindings apply.

Bind unbound functions (optional): the plugin creates a NEW file layout_BGate_<name>_exported.xml in the game folder. Your existing file stays untouched. In the game load “BGate_…” under Options → Keybindings → Control profiles, then click “Im Spiel geladen – bestätigen” (loaded in game – confirm) in the plugin. Until then the chips carry a *.

Functions that you only have on a joystick, gamepad or vJoy are shown as “NUR STICK”, “NUR PAD” or “NUR VJOY” (stick, pad or vJoy only) – a Stream Deck cannot press them.

The function list comes from the Star Citizen 4.10.0 hotfix game data (build 55227). After a patch, read your bindings again; new or changed functions come with a new version.

Updates

• New versions appear here in the download center with their own version number, checksums and changelog. The “Current version” link always points to the newest complete pack.
• To update, install the new plugin (double-click) – it replaces the installed one because both share the same identifier. Only re-import profiles if the changelog says so.
• After a Star Citizen patch, read your bindings again (BG Einrichtung → Einlesen).

The files are hosted on comms.balduur.de (HTTPS), the BalduursGATE server.

Known limitations

• Release candidate: a key press into the running game has not been confirmed in testing yet (key driver measured, Star Citizen was not running). The test on a second Windows user with a second access is also still pending.
• Windows 10/11 only. The plugin is not available for macOS or Linux.
• If Star Citizen runs as administrator, the Stream Deck software must too – otherwise Windows blocks the keys. Star Citizen must be the foreground window.
• Star Citizen does not know F13–F24. “Bind unbound functions” therefore uses combinations with R-CTRL and L-ALT; the supply is limited, some functions stay “FREI” (unbound).
• The profiles for Stream Deck (15 keys) and Galleon 100 SD have not been checked on real hardware yet.
• KI “SPRICHT” (AI speaking) and AUGE “ERGEBNIS” (eye result) are time windows after the answer – the client does not report the real end of the audio.
• The Stream Deck + profile has 163 pages; importing takes a few seconds.
• Key labels and the plugin's settings page are in German.
• Live keys only with a personal access to the Old Mens Club (OMC Edition).
