Mining & salvage
Mining
You pull out of the rock what everything else is built from.
What do you actually do?
Mining is the most patient role in the Verse and one of the most rewarding. You read signatures, pick lasers and modules, crack the rock cleanly and bring the cargo home. Anyone working in the ring is vulnerable – which is why roleplay with security and transport grows around mining almost by itself.
Typical tasks
- Hand mining and ship mining on moons and in rings
- Read signatures and judge deposits
- Take ore to the refinery and plan the yield
- Work in a team with a salvager and a hauler
- Deliver raw materials to manufacturers and bases

Roles this one is most often played alongside. Anyone looking for one of them is often looking for you too.
