Approach

The nearest quantum point on Aberdeen is Barton Flats Aid Shelter. From there it is 190.8 km on the shortest route (great circle) or 193.3 km on a fixed compass heading of 263.6 degrees. At 250 m/s and 2 km altitude that works out to roughly 13 minutes of flight time. The great circle is shorter but needs constant correction; on the rhumb line you hold one heading.
